Case study Three photographic experiences for an unforgettable memory of Made in Asia



Every year, thousands of Japanese pop culture fans come to Made in Asia. Organized in Namur and Brussels, it showcases the unusual universe of manga of yesterday and today.

For the Brussels version of 2019, Easyfairs, organizer of the event, appealed to the imagination of CheeeseBOX. The goal ? Offering a unique experience to its visitors, while allowing them to keep an unforgettable memory of the show and make them want to come back the next edition.



To entertain the participants, our creative team then imagined three different animations that found their place on the different stands of the Made in Asia, Brussels show, creating a multipoint marketing activation.

First, a CheeeseBOX Mini – our famous photobooth – with a GIF animation allowed visitors to meet, for a short video, transported in a mythical scene of a famous manga.

In a second time, the photo terminal with green background “ChromaKey” propelled them into a Funko Box, famous Japanese toy box. Placed in the right place, they obtained results as close as possible to reality.

Then – icing on the cake – the Super Saiyan filter. Which visitor og Made in Asia is not a fan of the timeless Dragon Ball manga? Thanks to this boundless imagination, our team created a unique photobooth experience with this custom filter. By integrating directly into the faces of the participants, we offered them the memorable memory of having been transformed, for a moment, into a manga hero.

By taking part in these different activities, visitors of the show had the opportunity to send their photo (s) to an email address, thus increasing the marketing database of Easyfairs, but also to leave with the version printed from their portrait, personalized in the colors of Made in Asia.



Once the event was over, it was time to do the accounts. And what a success !
